After just 3 days idnet have sent me a bandwidth warning :( now i normally average 20-30Gb total a month but my stats for this month so far are worrying.

So i got to thinking whats changed in the last 3 days, all i can think of is i plugged my sky hd box into the ethernet. now unplugged and no i did not download much (looks pretty rubbish anyway)
anyone else noticed this on Sky HD or is it a red herring, what is really worrying is the off peak download.

Red Herring (unless you're using the new AnyTime+ functions). I have my Sky HD box plugged in and my usage usually hovers around 7GB. All readily accountable to the PCs.
Not noticed anything similar myself.
I got one of those messages this morning. It is an automated estimate - pretty pointless at this time in the month - particularly when all the packages are due to change in September October November
Me too got one this morning, nearly fell of my perch, it was calculated over the last 3 days multiplied by a month = lots of over use. Funny time to send them out the beginning of the month :dunno:
I just ignore any warnings I get in the first 10 days ;D
@g7pkf Silly question, I know, but is your wireless connection to the Sky Box secure? I have my Sky Box connected to a WLAN repeater which automatically picks up the the router WPA protection. I only see usage when I am downloading programmes to watch.
No its wired straight to the router, no wireless involved
