Stupid "make everything looks like a tablet or mobile phone, but not let cross compatibility in" mentality.  :laugh:
PS, you can load Andriod up on your PC easy as a little App. Might not work for things like motion sensors though.

This is AMDs attempt at using Bluestack  http://bluestacks.com/ (AFAIK Bluestack is standalone too, it's an Andriod API translator thingy for Windows).
I'd just forgotten what they called it before.
