Post by: Steve on Aug 14, 2012, 21:48:28

Also compatible with iOS Android. Mac and PC

Perhaps this helps solve a problem of expensive portable devices with limited memory.  :dunno:

Nice idea Steve  :thumb: very useful and could work over a multitude of portable devices as you say.

The key question is - Does it actually work though.

At £125 it's not cheap to find out.

Version 1 of anything hell even version 6 of anything can be buggy these days, I'll wait for reviews I think.

Don't they already do Bluetooth enabled flash drives/cards?

Unless they've figured how to transmit electricity through the air wirelessly I don't think so Ben.

Actually, they already did it... five years ago! Seagate DAVE (http://www.seagate.com/docs/pdf/datasheet/disc/ds_dave.pdf) - I guess it never caught on!

It's just finding somewhere that sells them. :P

PS, they have been out in various forms for about 10 years. Oh, and the next tech would be induction probably. But I agree, these are wifi out, not wifi in for data. It would need a small battery to take the data in while unplugged.
