Title: Webspace FormMail
Post by: smeghead on Aug 03, 2012, 20:41:02
I was thinking about including a contact form on my site to allow visitors to submit short message directly without having to rely on their own email.

I know from past ISP accounts that this involves a FormMail facility that IDNet doesn't provide as standard (fair enough). But I have found a free FormMail utility (http://www.scriptarchive.com/formmail.html) that looks simple enough to set up. However, not sure if it's even possible with IDNet personal webspace?

Has anybody set up FormMail for use in their own webspace pages?

Thanks
Gary

Follow-up, a reply I received from IDNet support (for anybody else that might be interested)...
We do not allow any forms to run on the free hosting i'm afraid, the server concerned only servers static content."

Forms can be a huge security problem and a conduit for spam.
