Title: Safari
Post by: Niall on Jul 28, 2012, 17:31:23
Just wondering, does Safari ever get updated on the iphone? I've never seen an update at all. Do they update that with each OS update?

Also I was playing with my mates iphone last night and he's running the beta of the OS6 and it's rather nice, with some added features for uploading photos :)

I may not upgrade to iOS6, as I will miss Google Maps, particularly the Street View feature.  I guess it depends how good the new Maps app is.

I just assumed it was updated with the OS.  I get a separate option for Safari when an iTunes update comes up, but I thought that was for the desktop version.

The same goes for the other Apple Apps supplied as standard with the phone.

Google maps on the iPhone are abysmal compared with Androids version. The ios 6 version is based off  TomTom I believe. Also you will miss out of security updates...
