Title: O2 says sorry
Post by: Glenn on Jul 18, 2012, 15:49:10
QuoteO2 is sorry for last week's service issues. Really, really sorry. Like, giving you back 10-percent of your bill sorry, if you happened to be among the affected.

I wonder if Tesco will be as sorry as that!

Is GiffGaff's for everyone or like O2, only those that had problems?

Everyone as they don't quite know who was affected.

Yup, everyone, got an email about 15:30 today. I wasn't affected, but then again I don't have my phone on all the time :)
I did think about topping up for the extra 10% but I joined over a year ago and topped up with £10 then, and I've still got £12 credit left

Strange that O2 say they know who was affected, but GiffGaff who are owned by O2 don't.  :dunno:

I suspect its not worth the effort on GiffGaff's part to find out who was and who wasn't affected. They just offer 10% bonus to everyone and it doesn't actually cost real money, since they are PAYG only, in fact they will probably get more money rolling in. Whereas O2 are having to actually refund people 10% on their contracts...
