Title: Bandwidth Usage
Post by: psp83 on Jul 07, 2012, 19:49:21
Is it showing correctly for you ?

I've just logged in and my figures look less than what they should be for the last 2 days.

DayDownload (GB)Upload (GB)Peak (GB)*Off-Peak (GB)*
50.580.020.020.56
60.020.010.00.02

It won't be good though if IDnet spots a mistake and corrects it on 31st July and it makes people go over the allowances for the package they are on :P

I've just had cause to check my usage figures and I suspect that the figures being displayed since last Wednesday (4th) are garbage. I've registered only 0.1 GB peak and my off-peak figures don't match my usage pattern.

According to mine I have not used any bandwidth since the 6th July  :eyebrow:

Yesterday in peak time I only used 0.01 GB

Very good for a 60 Mb/s connection  :thumb:  ;)

One of mine shows as zero. Yesterday is reckoning zero for peak but nearly 1GB off peak  :eyebrow:

My monthly prediction is now 4GB. Okay so I'm a light user but previous months I've averaged 8GB.

I think there's been an interruption of BT's data flow from their radial servers to IDNet, in my experience it usually is corrected in a few days.

Support are aware of the problem and have informed me that the figures should update on Wednesday or Thursday this week.

If only BT could get aware of such problems.

Seems to be getting worse. It's taking ages to load to my page. I noticed it first yesterday evening and thought it was going to time out. The values still seem a bit low as well but I am seeing the relative increase I'd expect for yesterday.

If your previous 7 days rate of usage continues for 31 days then the total for the month will be:

12.47 GB Download - (Peak: 6.54 GB | Off-Peak: 5.93 GB)
2.1 GB Upload - (Peak: 1.28 GB | Off-Peak: 0.81 GB)

I probably need to use the internet a bit more

..might make some of you cry  considering the low usage ;D

Your whole download for the month could probably be undertaken in about 5 mins. ;D

Hah, yeah. Mind you I could burn through my monthly peak allowance in half an hour. It does feel a bit restrictive at times but truth is I rarely get into double figures so 15GB peak is ample.
