Thanks Glenn.  Maybe it was just a blip...

I've just updated the firmware on router, so maybe that had something to do with it?

I have no idea what any of this means, but since I was logged in to router, thought I'd copy it; so, does the following mean anything to anyone, and does it look okay?!

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3605 Kbps 925 Kbps
Line Attenuation 48.2 dB 13.0 dB
Noise Margin 11.6 dB 13.0 dB

Cheers,

Moonshine.  :)

It shows your noise margin has been increased due to perceived instability at a lower target margin. The effect of an increased margin is lower sync.

If BT's equipment deems it appropriate, after a couple of weeks of stability your noise margin will drop and sync increase.

Okay.  Thanks Lance.   :conf:      What is sync exactly?!   :red:  I'm assuming this 'perceived instability' is something to do with my set up at home??  Too techie for me, so off to bed now guys, but will check in again tomorrow.

Thanks again.

Moonshine. :)

For sync read connection speed, your modem negotiates a connection speed with BT equipment at your local exchange hence the term synchronisation.
