Title: Installing Wordpress to my webspace
Post by: JD_LincsUK on Jun 29, 2012, 20:26:14
Is this possible?

I've activated my IDNet webspace, but with there being no cpanel like I had when I made my last one a few years ago, I thought I'd install wordpress to it and run it via that interface.

Wordpress won't upload as I get a "php not running" error and I find myself unable to get anything happening at all when I log into the ftp address. I guess I have to run an ftp client now (more durned learning new stuff  :( ).

I have a free wordpress blog or two but I wanted a bit more flexibility and control over what goes onto my pages - hence wanting to simply use the wordpress as a base on my IDNet website.

Am I screwed?

My understanding is that the web space is only basic and does not support php or SQL databases.
