Not an actual problem (apart from losing some online gaming ;) ) but last night my connection went down from 12.30am until about 3am or so. Had sync, router just couldn't log in.
Thing is, after the connection came back up I notice my minimum latency has now dropped a little - not seen it as low (based on the TBB ping monitor):

Assuming this is BT's broadband improvement program in action?
Anyone else seen anything similar recently.
Be nice to think they are actually improving the service.
Just noticed the packet loss early yesterday afternoon - that's not good. Though wonder if it led up to the work they did late last night.. With my packet loss / bandwidth issues a few weeks ago I'm obviously twitchy about seeing that kind of thing.
Have to admit, I notice a red light on my router last night, but it was just as I was going to bed, so thought no more about it. All fine this morning.

Ah yeah that could explain it - especially with the improved latency I'm seeing now. I checked their status info and they posted at 21:30 last night something about continuing their broadband improvement program. Although it said that some customers may get disconnections and if so to turn off the router and leave for 3 mins, then turn back on again. 2.5 hours+ of downtime.. Not sure that would have helped ;)
I had an outage last night and just got back on-line. I also had an outage at around the same time the previous night. This time I lost sync for a short period after which I was only able to connect to the BT Wholesale page until now.
I had this happen a year or so ago and it went on for months. Nightly disconnections followed by what seemed like random visits to the Wholesale page when my connection came back up.
I'll stop typing now in case I say something I'll later regret.

Ah I remember those BT Wholesale pages coming up. I don't recall it going on for too long but I imagine it's all down to BT messing with the network. Suppose we can only hope that this time 'network improvements' actually means things get better.
I had the same again last night. That's three nights in a row.
Mine has been fine since the outage on Tuesday. The latency is still lower than it was in previous months so does look like BT have changed something.
Wonder if they are working across the country on this which is why you have had three days worth of problems. Very annoying, but hopefully they will be finished soon.
Sorry, I'm kind of hijacking a thread here, but I have a related question.
I'm kind of slightly confused as to how DSLAM works with regards to my Target SNR. A while back, there was a lot of problems with my line during what seemed eventually to be an upgrade to ADSL2+ at the exchange. That settled down, but my SNR appeared stuck at 15db. After about a month of no disconnects, I managed to get support to have my SNR reset. Since then it has been running great with my router showing anything from 0 - 3db as the SNR, and holding up. My link had been up for over 500hrs until the night of this OP. I had three disconnects that night as well. It may or may not have been the same issue, but my SNR is now stuck again at 12db, resulting in a lower IP profile.
Should this eventually drop back to 6db? If so how long should it take?
It might, it depends, in part, on your error count.

It ran for weeks without a blip, then as soon as there are three disconnects in one night, the SNR goes back up to 12 and stays there. This DSLAM business sucks if you ask me. I don't care about occasional disconnects anyway, I'd rather have the speed when I do use the internet. Why can't I just have the target SNR locked out at 6db? Grrrrrrrr!
Well had some packet loss today and had to reboot the router. Wonder if BT have once again messed with the routing. The improvement in minimum latency seems to have now gone and it's back to where it used to be:

They always do that, just as you've got used to having it. :(
That sounds very BT. :( You think they are improving things but then they disconnect you and put you back on the old router.. lol
Almost certainly the kind of thing that's happened. :(
