Title: delete folder

im un installing malwarebytes to re install it as I have started to get problems with it freezing.

it un installed ok from the malwarebytes uninstaller prog but I tried to delete the folder it left and it wont play fair, just got error window saying is disc full or program in use.

checked the folder properties and its ticked as read only, when I change this I get the are you sure question then ok but it just re ticks the box so not allowing me to delete it


any ideas

Reboot and then try deleting the folder.

tried that Simon and still same.Malwarebytes uninstall needed an auto re boot to complete but I have also tried it after with no luck


theres only 1 file left in the folder, a .dll file

Have you tried deleting the file first and then the folder, Baz? that's worked for me in the past when I've had that problem.

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam-clean.exe should do it.

If that doesn't work there are a series of commands you can run that will allow you to take control of the file/directory and remove it but they are not easy to explain. Ultimately, if nothing else works, there are many utilities that usually do work either directly or after a reboot. http://lockhunter.com/ is one of them.
