Spent a good while on Friday scratching my head as the auto detection on the new router picked the line up as PPPoE but as I'm using ADSL I think this was wrong so set it to PPPoA and VC based multiplexing, however it flatly refuses to connect when set to PPPoA, it syncs but won't establish PPP.
A factory reset seems to have cleared out the gremlin.
