Just had our ADSL2+ line activated last Thursday and I setup a Think broadband monitor to compare results with out cr*ppy Virgin media line we had before hand.
Here's our live graph. It's miles better than our previous line and it performs amazingly but should I be worried about this?

It doesn't look right to me with the regular increasing spikes
:welcome:
Is that a Speedtouch router? Some routers seem to produce that regular "comb" effect, it's caused by the router being too busy doing something internal to bother with responding to a ping. I think some other routers do it as well.
It's nothing to worry about, it responds to proper traffic correctly. You seem to have a good line there, nice short ping!
:welc: :karma: Thanks Bill
It's actually a Netgear DGN1000.
I do have a bt Business hub that my boss lent me.
Might give that a go at some point this weekend.
I can't complain about the line, it's been top quality. I was just dubious over these results.
Thanks for the quick responses guys! :thumb:
Not sure about the Netgear... it's something that crops up fairly regularly over on thinkbroadband with various routers, but I've given up trying to remember which ones are affected!

I have a Billion 7800N and get a similar thing whenever I put any sort of load on it.

That's what I use as well and don't see the effect at all, you can see my BQM in my sig.
OTOH I'm on FTTC so not using the modem part of the router, maybe that's why?
I don't recall it on adslmax or FTTC using the 7800N either.
