Title: ADSL extension wiring - filters
Post by: Poverty on Mar 08, 2012, 12:49:50
I have a master socket with two outlets - one telephone and one ADSL.
It has internal provision for ADSL extension wiring using terminals A and B.  The extension wiring is then already filtered and require no further filers.
But I cannot find an ADSL wall socket for the remote end that is not filtered.   Is there one on the market ?
If not, then does it matter if the line goes through a second filter or does this reduce the performance?

You can use another filtered faceplate ( 65mm or 85 mm  )  or better still a RJ11 surface mount socket     see   http://www.solwise.co.uk/adsl_splitters-extensions.htm

Thanks for that - I'll get a Solwise RJ11 socket as you suggested.  I feel that two filters would reduce the performance a bit.
