having problems with my mobile and the guy got me to do a factory reset.
following this i was unable to get into android marketplace. long and the short of it, is that i seem to have ended up creating a new googlemail address and my proper idnet e-mail address i used to use on my phone for access to market has become an alternate.
the upshot is that i cannot download my paid for apps as they are associated with another e-mail account it appears ?
help !
Can you not login to your old Googlemail address and make it the priority address? Or change the settings on the phone to make it so? Sorry, I'm iPhone, so don't ask me how.

i logged in on my pc and it does not give me an option to revert the primary e-mail address to the idnet one which is used to be :(
will take another look.
I think you'll probably need to do it from the phone, ie, login to the app store with your old email address, then change the primary address on the phone.
but i wont seem to let me login with the old one on the phone.
the orange man is calling me later so maybe he'll know what i need to do if i have not solved it by then.

I've just started tinkering with Android so help I can offer is limited, can you log into the account from a PC?
Had this the other day. You'll have to do another factory reset and make sure you set up Market with your original mail addy before you go adding others

ok the problems then seems to be i have no idea of the original e-mail address used when I set up the android marketplace when i got my phone over 18 months ago :(
i did not even think i had a googlemail one cos i would never have set that up if i had the option. i dont want and will never use anything other than the one idnet e-mail.
so atm i'm fooked :(
I think you get an email confirming when you set up the phone - would you still have that?

Always a good idea to have at least one webmail account, especially if for some reason you switch ISP's

I think he has, the issue being, it's a new one, and all of his apps were purchased using a different one, so won't appear on the 'new' account.
He can contact Google, listing the phone number, they will tell him what the purchase address was.
sorted !! took me a while to trawl through some old e-mails i saved to find i obviously set up a googlemail account when i bought the phone and have never used it since !
did not even remember i had set one up !
