Title: Web site problem
Post by: cromar on Jan 09, 2012, 15:46:27
I have uploaded a page containing text and a photograph (jpg image) to a web site that I manage. I cannot get the photo to display on either IE9 or Chrome. All I get is the little red "X".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Geoff

Microsoft Word is a horrible (bloated) way to code a webpage but my own personal opinions aside your problem lies with the image itself - http://www.deesidebridge.com/DSCF1635.JPG

The file is either corrupt, missing or isn't located in the correct directory. Your source code assumes all images are in the root (public_html) directory so if you've uploaded it to another directory (/images) for example you'll need to amend the image source.

You may be able to view it your end as it's probably cached.
