Hey guys, seasons greetings and all the rest.
Just been pulling my hair out over this one, I have a Telecom NZ 2701 Business Hub modem/router and (as we all know) it is locked only to Telecom NZ ISP (as changing the settings says that it isn't allowed). I have done some pretty serious scouring of the net, looking for ways to flash the firmware on this puppy.
On the standard router menu (192.168.1.254) there is no 'management' or 'tech' area (probably hidden), and I have tried several different methods I found mentioned (home/mdc etc..) to no avail.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for this? Does anyone know of the address for the hidden management console (if there is one)?
Thanks for your time,
Hope everyone is having a good Christmas :)
Phil

Hi Phil and welcome to the forum. :welc: :karma:
Would imagine your only hope would be the QWest firmware, but haven't seen anyone have any success with a 2701. I don't have one to try it on I'm afraid

Is it a 2701 or a 2700 ?
Does it have a large button on the front and does it have a WAN port?
The 2700 actually has internal part number which start 2701 which can confuse - teh 2701 also has hardware part numbers of te same form.
Go to: http://home/xslt?PAGE=C_0_0 or http://home/xslt?PAGE=A07 (depending on version) and there is a line
Hardware Version: 2701-100630-009 or
Hardware Version: 2701-100589-005 or
Hardware Version: 2701-100588-005Can you say which it is.
