Title: DuckDuckGo Search Engine.
Post by: davej99 on Dec 21, 2011, 17:08:03
You may know this but http://duckduckgo.com/ (http://duckduckgo.com/) claims to be a general purpose search engine that does not collect or share personal information, It seems to return search matches that are more subject than sales oriented.  There is certainly none of the ad based sites that head up and sidebar search returns on other search engines. I picked it up from a Linux distro, so many of you may be familiar. I have found it useful for research based searches. Sorry if this is posted in wrong place. Dave

Because it's community based it's only as good as the users online at any one time, and can be downright slow sometimes. I gave it a look (being a big fan of open source) and have to say I was rather underwhelmed.

I like it, so far so good, refreshingly minimalistic   :ok:
