Title: Routers...
Post by: AvengerUK on Jun 08, 2007, 19:36:58
Hey all,

My router (which ive been meaning to replace for ages now) now seems to "lock up" my DNS whenever a load a list of gameservers (which is a extremely long list) - so, im going to have to buy another one!

Requirements:
- Cheap and cheerfull!
- SPI Firewall
- Port forwarding (havnt needed it with my current as the SPI does the SPI part...well!)
- Stable for Long lines!
- Wired
- 4 ports

And, crucially...somewhere to get it from!

Many thanks for suggestions etc!!

Nevermind! Got some recommendations from freinds RE: The netgear that someone here recommended a while back..so just ordered it via ebuyer - using the google checkout offer of course!

Let us know if the router is any good!

A watched delivery van never arrives... :)

Check which version of the firmware you have in the Netgear, they are often way out of date.

Soooo annoying when they do that! Thankfully, I know that the city-link deliveries round my parts are always between 12 and 3!

At least it has sorted your problems!

I reckon they only have one van, it comes here first (around 10), pops up to you, then works its way round to Avenger later. :)
