Title: LINX swapping Foundry/Brocade for Juniper
Post by: pctech on Nov 23, 2011, 19:15:16
Because I'm interested in such things I occasionally visit the LINX website http://www.linx.net and noticed in their topology section https://www.linx.net/pubtools/topology.html that they are swapping out the Foundry kit (Foundry were bought by Brocade) which formed their primary peering LAN (195.66.224.xx range) for Juniper kit, presumably because the Foundry stuff was getting on a bit  and was getting a tad unreliable.

They do say in their magazine they've installed the latest firmware so hopefully no more issues with BGP.

Just mentioned out of interest really.

Hopefully it will give greater reliability over the old kit.

Best contact LINX but you'd probably need a few mill.
