iOS 5.0.1 update to fix battery life problems is available at iTunes or an over the air download by Software Update located in settings>general
Thanks, let's see if I can manage a wifi update.
My iPad is currently updating by wifi :thumb:, make sure you have at lease 50% battery life left because if you haven't you have to connect the device to a charger to complete the update.
Mine is now downloading over wifi :fingers:
I've done the 4S via WiFi on battery, you can tell how long it took
That was simple enough, iPad updated and working.
I'm not sure if I will do my iPhone 4 as since updating it to iOS 5 the battery life on it has been great I've even gone three days between charges, I don't want to tempt fate.
Just done mine fairly painlessly. Only potential issue I can see is that it doesn't give you the option of a pre-upgrade backup.
And my iphone 4 is now done. That was painless and used 2% battery.
It's still causing battery problems for some http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/11/11/ios_upgrade_battery_problems/
I read that elsewhere but glad it's not affecting either of my phones on IOS5
My battery certainly seems to last longer than on the 3GS.
