FYI -
2011-11-01 14:31: On the 3rd November BT will be performing a software upgrade which will mean a full loss of service starting at 01:00 for a maximum of 30 minutes for some of our customers.
Do they specify geographical areas for this outage?
That's all it states John. I'm sure Rik will let us know if he finds out anything else.

Cant see any mention when I ran my number through, could this just be the equipment that feeds IDNet's hostlinks?
My number is listed for Thursday morning
I'm not listed either, so that makes me wonder if it's an update at the nodes.
QuoteThe Planned Engineering Work is required on the Broadband Nodes within the (BIRMINGHAM / COLOMBO / DERBY / FARADAY / GLASGOW GUILDFORD / LEEDS /MANCHESTER / NEWCASTLE) region that support EU's nationwide for completion of (SVLAN moves for capacity and stability programme 6). There will be (One) service outage to End-Users of approximately (30) minutes (for each outage or total) within this period. This outage will occur during the outage window of (00:00:01-06:00:00) within this PEW Window.
Not a bad guess then. :)

Yes, I'd already done that, but wondered if I was missing something that wasn't Zen related.
Amazing! Last night I had a 600GB WD VelociRaptor fail in my remote server. An engineer somehow managed to replace the backup drives which can no longer be located. The company who manages the rack has had a failure in their backup system and is unable to restore my data. I'm now desperately trying to rebuild the server and my number is on that list... :rant2:
Just what you didn't need. :(

Blimey Zap who do you use?
Rackspace hosting. There was no downtime on my connection last night so I managed to get the majority of it restored and running again :)
Only ever had one dealing with that company and was applying for a job with them.
They called me in response to my application but I was not in a position to answer the call as I was assisting a customer, I returned the call the next day and was assured the message would be passed onto the person and I would receive a call.
4 years on and I'm no longer waiting.
My thoughts were 'if this is how they treat potential employees, I dread to think how they treat customers'
When I was 8, mum enrolled me into the local cub pack. They were full at the time, but they assured my mum that they would call when they had a place, 40+ years later she is still waiting for the call. Dib, dib dib.
;D
The person I did speak to seemed less than willing to help if you know what I mean which was my point and I did not get a very good impression of the company so I'm not really that surprised that Zap is having grief.
