Funny thing is BT attempted a similar one. They suggested they "invented" the Hyperlink. They patented a "method of linking documents via a wired communication system where the user selects the desired document with a method of input". :P

Thank god no-one had invented patents at the time writing was invented, or, for that matter, printing. :shake:

Nope, but you can patent it's application. "Patented in 1810, Koenig had designed a steam press "much like a hand press connected to a steam engine."[49] The first production trial of this model occurred in April 1811."

I think I might patent "connection of a fusion power plant to a electrical outlet". I'd not have to invent fusion power, and when someone else does, I'd be a millionaire!
