Title: Is a fax machine okay on ADSL2+ line?
Post by: SSK on Oct 15, 2011, 10:38:26

Would it affect an ADSL2+ synch with the exchange if there was an incoming or outgoing fax on the same phone line?

I was wondering if, for example, a fax signal might be treated as 'noise' on the line. Alternatively, would the ADSL2+ frequencies or the filter affect the fax signal and prevent the fax working properly.

Should be fine,   but occasionally "double filtering" may be needed.   That is Socket >>>> Filter>>>>Filter>>>>Fax  or FacePlateFilter>>>>Filter>>>>Fax

You may also find that the fax slows down a little from the high speed to high/medium ...
