Title: What refresh rate do you use?
Post by: pctech on Oct 09, 2011, 17:01:34
Since I've had my new glasses and a little bit before I found some text a little hard to read (it looks a little faint), this did not prsent a problem with my previous Xerox monitor but as it now looks like Xerox got out of the monitor business I bought a cheaper acer which is nowhere near as good IMO

Have always had my card set to refresh at 75 Hz as my understanding was that you should use the highest refresh rate.

However, reducing that to 60 has improved things somewhat so I think the monitor couldn't keep up with the card (an Nvidia 7900 GTX)

Anyone else noticed this with some monitors?

My HP is set at 59 Hz and it displays fine.

My Samsung 22" lcd display only has 60hz available as an option.

Another 60Hz here. Higher rates were more important in CRT days, Mitch.
