Every few minutes my connection seems to die but both sync and PPP stay fine. Each "outage" lasts between 10 seconds and 5 minutes and during that period websites just timeout and I lose connection to Teamspeak.

That's just the start of a long list and you can see that sometimes I only "lose connection" for a few seconds and other times it's a few minutes or more.
Any ideas?
BT backhaul engineering work?
Possible server problem or a routing issue to it? Might be worth trying a trace, Griff?

There's no "it" though Rik.
That (Teamspeak) was just used to show the frequency and times of the "outages" and nothing, websites, ftp etc, responds until the connection comes back again.
I fully expected to see me losing sync or PPP but they're fine and haven't dropped at all. It's literally like the internet disappears for minutes at a time.
You have entered the twilight zone. ;)
During the long outages PPP stays up?

Yup.
Whatever it was seems to have cleared up now as everything is back to normal.
I maybe wrong but sounds like it could be between the BRAS and IDNet.
Very weird, glad its cleared up.
