Title: Proxy server
Post by: Broadback on Sep 30, 2011, 14:05:27
My Granddaughter has just moved to Australia, is a at bit of a loose end and would like to receive UK TV. I understand this can be done using a proxy server. Can anyone help of point me in the right direction please? I am sure there will be someone amongst all you feather pluckers that know this, after all IdNetters are the fountain of all knowledge!

I'm not sure that would actually be legal, would it?  I'm sure it can be done, but...  :-\

Certainly a proxy server can be used to access iPlayer at least, but as Simon has said the legality is questionable at best.

If you google 'UK proxy server bbc iplayer' you will get some possibilities. Some will charge a fee for the UK IP address.

Thanks Sobranie, I will pass that on to her. I tried to reply to your message but I don't think it worked.
