Title: Netbook
Post by: Tina on Sep 08, 2011, 19:49:04
I have just got a new netbook for when I go away,  or in hospital. It runs windows 7 starter. As my eyesght is really bad, and getting worse, I am having trouble configuering it so I can actually see it.

I've got clear type set up. Have the taskbar to auto hide, to give me a bit more room, am using verdana font. But still struggling. I didnt stuggle like this on my old one, that ran xp, but has died :(

Can anyone please help me, as I need it for this weekend. Many thanks :)

What are you actually trying to change, Tina?  If it's the font size for web pages, that's a browser setting.

I've not used Windows 7 enough to be of much help, but I'm sure someone will be able to advise.

May be obvious, but easily forgotten.    Have you adjusted the contrast on the Netbook ?
I mention it because I helped a neibour recently with a simler problem   :)

Have a look at Control Panel - Ease of Access - then select Optimise Visual display this will give you some options to make the display easier to see.
