I'm installing a larger hard drive into my daughters laptop which currently runs Snow Leopard and Windows Vista on a Bootcamp partition.
I've set up the Mac OS side fine on the new drive but are having problems with transferring over Vista to the new Bootcamp partition. She has many programs and files in Vista which need transferring over, I have tried Winclone this copy's the partition ok but errors when writing to the new drive.
I'm now looking to load a new copy of Vista onto Bootcamp and then find a way to make a complete backup of Vista including the system from the old drive and install this. As my copy is home basic it won't allow me to do a full backup does anyone know of any free Windows software that will let me do a back up and then reapply over a fresh copy of the os. Many thanks.
