Quite a few ISPs have a direct link into Google's network too.

I usually use OpenDNS especially as it supports IPv6

they also have the benefit of not being censored by the uk government as well

I don't think we are censored in the UK in terms of the net that much apart from the obvious stuff which should be.

I thought this is what the ISPs do already. Is it not putting the others on par with them? The only benefit I could think of is if Google and OpenDNS have special favour to... oh great, tired internet 3.[$$$] here we come.  :eyebrow:
