just noticed that I have 3 versions of Java Console in the add ons but with only a disable button.
there is 6.0.22 and 6.0.25 and 6.0.26
how do I delete the early versions
Don't ask me, but I guess it's via Windows programs and features, it should list the versions and allow an uninstall
no its not there just one entry for java
Sorry Baz I did infact think I was quoting correctly I wonder where they are?
http://www.java.com/en/download/uninstall.jsp
You can't uninstall them as they are incompatible with the version of Firefox you're currently running. If you "roll back" to a previous version then you should be able to uninstall them.
so why have three if it just uses the most recent version :dunno:

If that's how Firefox has always worked, I wonder if that explains how it gets so bloated and slow?
yeah bit of a chew on though isnt it.roll back to uninstall then re install the latest <insert scratches-head-smilie here>

Baz, have a look in 'start > control panel > programs/uninstall a program' (thats for Win7, XP is slightly different) and see if you have all three versions installed on the computer. If you have uninstall 22 & 25 and the plug ins in FF should disappear, it did when I had that happen a while back.
Thanks DS but already looked and its not there.just one entry for it which is the latest
There is a program called JavaRa which is supposed to remove old versions, I've not used it though.
