The Nationwide has started to offer this software today. Previous discussion produced considerable ambivalence about its usefulness and slowing down of computers. I'd welcome any updated opinions please.
I use it for my First Direct account, I can't say I have noticed any loss in performance.
I use it for my banking, don't notice it's there plus it's configurable so you can add extra sites if you wish.l
Thanks, guys.
HSBC seem to be pushing this more and more.
Does anyone use Rapport while running Kasperski Internet Security and using the built in Safe Run for Websites?
I'm wondering if there might be any clash? Haven't tried it yet as I saw somewhere that Rapport is a pig to un-install.
There is always this nagging doubt in my mind that if the banks want you to use Rapport and you don't, then have some money lifted, how will they react?
Nationwide say you are covered whether you use it or not. So far, it's had no negative impact on my machine and no clashes with security software.
I'd second what Glenn said, no problems on a Pentium D 3.4
QuoteNationwide say you are covered whether you use it or not
Until they provide a Linux version they would have to, wouldn't they
;D
You could say the same about Solaris
AFAIK it encrypts/scrambles your keyboard input between the server (bank website) and the user (your PC). Not sure how correct that is. No idea why it's not integrated AS part of Windows or OSX/Lion?
