Title: The person you're calling is on the phone
Post by: Niall on Jul 14, 2011, 17:46:12
Oh no they aren't!

Anyone know a solution to this? My mums phone, if you ring it says that the person you're calling is on the phone. I've just been round the house and unplugged all the phones. There are no phones connected now and it's still saying it.

I'm confused ???

Incidentally both my mums line and mine are IDnet, and mine is fine, so I doubt it's related to the provider.

Sounds like a line fault to me.  :dunno:

I was thinking that myself, but I've never experienced it EVER, so I have no idea where to start to fault find :D

Actually, I've just had an idea. Once I've ruled my mother out of the fault I'll get back to you ;D

Yep, it's a line fault. I've just plugged my phone in and there's no dial tone. Also, when I reconnected my phone to my line, my internet dropped. I think there's something very wrong with the line outside this house.
