Title: Draytek 2710n & Firefox v5
Post by: Jimbo on Jul 11, 2011, 18:38:21
Hi all

Just a heads up to say I've raised a bug with Draytek UK Support.  It would appear that Firefox v5/6 and v3.3.6.1 of the firmware (latest at time of writing) has some bugs when browsing the Routers GUI.  I'm not sure if this affects other models of Draytek Routers.  The admin GUI will sometimes not load correctly and clicking the menu options does nothing.  Also there are errors reported in the Firefox Error Console.

The nice guys at Draytek UK Support have replied to me saying this will be raised to Draytek.  (I assume an update firmware hopefully will appear)

Just in case others were/are in the same boat as me.  Opera/IE9 should still be OK.  If not, there is always Telnet :)

Thanks!  :)

That's strange I'm using a Draytek 2710n with that firmware version and FF5 and I've not seen any issues with the router GUI so far, is your Java runtime environment up to date?

Hi Ray,

Yeah JRE all up-to-date.  Just to say, I received a beta firmware from Draytek yesterday and I've been running it over the weekend.  So far, so good.  Seems nice and responsive so I'll drop support an update with my findings.

There was definitely something up with the latest firmware as Firefox Error Console was reporting funnies... they seem to have gone now with the latest beta.  :fingers:

Thanks.  :)
