Firefox 5 is now available for download if you replace the current version number in the Firefox download URL with version 5.0, you can get the final build of the browser now. Its meant to officially launch tomorrow. Its more like a point update like 4.1 but to keep up with Google etc Mozilla has changed the way it now numbers its updates, lots of fixes under the hood it appears and the tell sites I don't want to be tracked feature has been moved to make it more obvious. the List of changes are below, the GUI remains unchanged. I do wonder if this new numbering system will harm Firefox as people will see versions 6 and 7 this years and maybe like 5 they may not appear to be much different, only time will tell.
Added support for CSS animations
The Do-Not-Track header preference has been moved to increase discoverability
Improved canvas, JavaScript, memory, and networking performance
Improved standards support for HTML5, XHR, MathML, SMIL, and canvas
Improved spell checking for some locales
Improved desktop environment integration for Linux users
WebGL content can no longer load cross-domain textures
Background tabs have setTimeout and setInterval clamped to 1000ms to improve performance
The Firefox development channel switcher introduced in previous Firefox Beta updates has been removed
