Title: Secunia not doing much auto updating
Post by: pctech on Jun 15, 2011, 12:57:26
I have auto updates turned on but turned on the PC this morning and got a nice bubble message saying the system score when was down to 90%, opening the program directed me to Microsoft Update and also told me flash was again insecure.

When does it do the updates itself?

I've had it flag Flash as not being updated, but after a reboot it seemed to recognise that it had been updated.  :dunno:

Just wondered when it does it because I did install it so it would do it so I didn't have to.

I haven't had it that long, but I had a Flash update today, that I manually installed.  Not sure how long it would have taken if I'd left Secunia to it.  I think this is one of those things that you can pay too much attention to.  Why not just leave it to it's own devices for a day or two and see what happens?

I would have if it wasn't for the large message.

I'll admit am a bit over paranoid security wise because I do all my banking etc on this PC as you probably do on yours too.

I do, but I've learned to trust my security software without constantly scrutinising it. ;)
