I've been using ebay, facebook fine, website is hosted on my mates server, to which the pages are pretty much taking forever to load (in fact after half hour its still not fully loaded), speedtest.org loads, but can't get any test results, i know my mates server is fine as my girlfriend is on sky and she can get the pages up instantly. So I wonder why some sites are just not working for me today ?
I've restarted my PC and router, and nothing has changed, Other websites like post office, yahoo etc are all working fine.. so bit of a loss as to whats going on ?
Everything is fine here. Are you getting any DNS errors, or is it just slow to load? Do you want to give me the URL to try?
The site is www.htm-audio.co.uk though i think the guy has just shutdown the server (presume restarting it) ... saying that I think it must be back up as the time out errors have now gone back to slow loading...
Its a odd one as my girlfriend on sky got the site fine, so can't see it being a server issue anyway ?
It's loading very slow for me through Open DNS

At least someone else has the same problem, I think I am using open dns , been a while since i messed with the settings.. I can check..
I know my girlfriend on sky is getting the pages up, not a cached version as ive been updating parts of the site and she has been seeing them..
EDIT. Does not appear I have any dns servers, must have been open dns I set on my old one :slap:
Loads instantly for me on my work connection (not IDNet no idea about DNS servers).
Very slow here with Google DNS. It appears, at first glance, to be a server problem, but perhaps it's routing. Whereabouts is the server? Pinging it dropped one packet in 4.
URL resolves instantly but the site is really slow to load.
Quotewebsite is hosted on my mates server
Any other example of sites on his server? Are we talking proper server or PC in bedroom server?
I can load the site but slowly, the ISP/host website is not loading well either - http://www.uk2.net/ plus another site on the traceroute http://www.mellowms.co.uk/. Everywhere else for me is fine, I wonder if the issue is with UK2.NET
Just spoken to support, there is a problem at LONAP, which is causing this. IDNet are chasing it. At the moment, they are unable to route around, but it's only affecting a few sites - exactly the pattern we're seeing.
Hop 4 is the problem point:
