In this article, I noticed a little gem of a name to a chip technology.
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/05/16/via_quadcore_x4_chip/
It is called "VIA Isaiah 64-bit architecture". Notice that "Isaiah 64" is in the name. Now, this may just be a engineer naming a chip after his son "Isaiah" as he uses traditional names or what ever reason. But I would prefer to think, that he is hinting his chip will make people "tremble at thy presence!"
So, what other cleaver, or cheeky names are there for PC tech?
I'd prefer it if the chips trembled in my presence Ben ;D
Always found the Intel codenames interesting.

I prefer oven chips ;D
I did not know nearly all the Intel chips were named after places.
Did you know that both types of chips can be "oven baked" Lona? ;D
Half baked ;D
Though you'd expect them to be 'battered and deep fried' in Scotland ;D
;D
They probably are, John, it's just a matter of finding them.
Really must go up and try a deep fried Mars bar.
You may be disappointed, Mitch.
And the Linux releases really make me laugh.
Jaunty Jackalope? Karmic Koala? Natty Narwhal?
I want to see
Lagered up Llama
Wasted Wallaby.
Stoned Snake
and
Hippy Hyena.
;D
Rolls Royce use or used British Rivers to name their aircraft engines.
Must have been difficult to get them to make a speech. ;D :out:
;D
They were all very rapid.
I can't believe the depths some people go to on here, still I'll go with the flow.
Did you realise successive versions of Android have names running in sequence alphabetically - http://talkfree7.blogspot.com/2011/05/why-how-google-android-updates-name.html
Not sure I fancy an Ice Cream Sandwich though :)
AMD's "Magny Cours" many-core CPU.
It's a race course too?
Nothing beat "Microsoft BOB" though. :D
