Is anyone having trouble with justin.tv ?
I can load the website fine but can't watch any streams.
They all time out and come back with Sorry but we couldn't find the video stream please check your connection etc etc
Have tried firefox, Ie and chrome all get the same error.
Was all working fine yesterday.
Youtube, ustream and other streaming sites all working fine so don't think it's a java problem.........
Cheers.
Hi and welcome to the forum. :welc: :karma:. TBH, I've never even heard of it, let me go and check for you.
The ad played, then I got an error message that they couldn't find the stream.
Hi Paul, http://www.justin.tv/cnbclive14#/w/1141244448/10 is working for me, but I'm not on my IDNet line at the moment.
:karma: :welc:
Same error as before on that link.
Not working for me either. Wonder if it's a peering problem for IDnet? All I get is the page, and it looks like it's trying to buffer something, but nothing happens.
Thanks for the welcome Rik 8-)
I can load the page for the NBC stream but yeah just keeps buffering then get the error message.
Was watching a stream last night paused it, came back and ever since then nothing has worked.
Watch a lot of gaming streams on justin.tv never had any trouble before....
Like Niall, I'm wondering about routing, but the site-generated error message seems to cut across that somewhat. If it doesn't clear up in the next few hours, drop support an email, though it's unlikely that anything will happen till Tuesday I'm afraid.
I don't get any error messages, but after the ad it just sits there spinning its wheels.
I reported a problem with watching streams on justin.tv ages ago, esp in off peak time, the slightest bit of packet loss and the stream buffers none stop. I got no where with it though as it was blamed on congestion, even when I said it was affecting iPlayer and YouTube aswell.
This was my post in Sep 10, 2010 : http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,21995.0.html
:welc: :karma: Paul.
The pages load but the videos/streams just sit there "loading" so to speak.
I was going to look in their help forums but even that won't load for me - http://community.justin.tv/forums
Can anyone else access their forums?
I'd lean towards a routing issue because www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com says it's up.
Oh and :welc: :karma:
:welc: :karma:
No prob for me but not on IDNet though.
Have also been getting this problem for the last 24 hours.
It's a big pain as I like to watch Starcraft 2 Streams a lot, and all of them are on JTV!
Streams still down for me :'(
Have sent an e-mail to support see what they come up with next week.
If the problem is bad routing wouldn't that just make the latency high ?? My understanding of "bad routing" is the connection goes the long way round rather than direct ??
No video streams seems like the connection has been blocked.
Anyway not the end of the world see what comes up next week.
Same for me, mostly.
The link that Glenn posted above loads the page but no video.
Other pages on the site won't even load.
Same for me as well Paul. Was watching streams fine yesterday, but not been able to watch one today >:(
Get the same symptoms already described - advertisement, followed by a period of waiting, and then an error message. No stream and no chat either. Tried different browsers and different OSs.
Something fishy is afoot methinks!
Oh, and :welc:
Oh, and www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com says it's down now, so it's not just me (or you).
Don't know if that should make me feel happy or not :P
http://community.justin.tv/forums - Is accessible by most* so it's not a problem their end. Something closer to home is causing the problem.

Streams are working just fine for me
Everything seems back to normal for me too now.
Hooray! It's playing nicely again! ;D
Are any of you guys getting issues streaming to J.TV? I'm on fibre and can stream to own3d.tv with no issues at all always at 1800 bitrate, The second i try with Justin.tv it's constently lowering the bitrate and if I tell it not to it skips frames. Weird goings on
Any ideas guys? It's 100% confirmed thats its only J.TV as own3d is fine and i've even formatted to test
Miughgt need to contact support about it.
Send a message to support@idnet.com but be aware you may not get an answer until next week.
