Title: Large amount of jitter

Wondering if this is the cause of all the "jittering" across the map whilst online gaming. Solution or cause would be?  ???
:)

I just tried the Milton Keynes server and it gave me completely inaccurate results so I wouldn't put much faith in your result.

"Jittering" in multiplayer is usually packet loss. Most games use client-side interpolation and prediction for (self) player movement, so even if your actual position is "lagged" for the other players (due to your inherent ping delay) it will appear instantaneous for you... Just try thinking of the alternative -- your *actual* position and movement. Pressing each movement key would be delayed by 50-100ms. I've tried playing like that and yeah, it's brain breaking. However, when the game hits packet loss, the client side prediction gets a note from the server saying "wait a sec, you're not actually there, you're back here" and the game suddenly validates this and moves you back to where you are since a movement packet or whatever has been missed. This leads to the apparent jerkiness on the client end. Extremely high pings could also suffer this I imagine, but I would wager it's more a packet loss problem.
