Title: Anyone else using Secunia PSI?
Post by: Rik on Apr 06, 2011, 12:52:51
I've started getting a 0% score and the error:

Error: TypeError
Function: util.switchPage
File: undefined
Line: undefined
Description: 'length' is null or not an object

since mid-morning. Re-installing the software hasn't resolved the problem, so I'm curious to know if others are seeing it too.

Mine was fine last night, but I haven't used it today.  Don't ever say I'm anything but helpful.  ;)

 ;D

Mine was fine first thing, then changed around 11:30. I'm wondering whether it's related to the connection issues we've been seeing?

Same here, Rik, I'm getting a system score of 0% after a manual scan, seems to be broken.  :shake:

Looks like the problem is their end a thread about it on the support Forum here (http://secunia.com/community/forum/thread/show/8007/error_on_dashboard_with_no_scan_data).

Had an issue when I first installed it with a white box, removed and reinstalled and its been fine but not used it today but as you say it sounds a server side issue.

I installed Secunia PSI and whilst it seems very good I don't think it's infallible.

I know its only one example but I use the Vim text editor and after a Secunia scan it reported :

QuoteThe version detected of Vim 7.x was 7.0.262.0 while the latest version including one or more security fixes is 7.2.

However when I went to the Vim download page (https://groups.google.com/group/vim_announce/browse_thread/thread/66c02efd1523554b) the latest version is 7.3 (not 7.2) which was released on 15th Aug 2010.

Note that I also cannot resolve issues by clicking on the 'Install Solution' option as it says 'an error occurrred whilst attempting to open the specified URL' and have had to update applications manually instead.

I've never had that happen, John.
