Title: Will there ever be a "tough" phone?
Post by: Technical Ben on Mar 20, 2011, 11:22:05
They just broke another "tough" and "hardened" phone on breakfast TV when testing how well it performed.
No video up yet, but here is an older failure to review such a phone...

So why do they make these claims? Perhaps just "water proof" is enough. Putting "smash, crash and bomb proof" on the front is asking for trouble!
However the gadget shows reviews are usually quite good. They can find a phone or camera that can survive quite a lot of abuse.

Reminds me of some sort of shed lock featured on Dragon's Den.

One of them walked up and broke it in 5 seconds.
