When it started again, I turned off the speakers and it went, back on and it returned. I think the power supply must be failing, as it's independent of volume or connection.
It does do a good impression of vibration, though. ;D

I had a hum a while ago, turned out it was from outside it drove me mad as it sounded as if it was electrical.
