Title: Mysterious 'Master' Process
Post by: net91 on Mar 16, 2011, 06:52:46
My OS X Firewall recently asked me to block or allows incoming connection for an application called 'master'. I've blocked this as I didn't know what it was, when I looked in Activity Monitor I found the process but looking on the Inspect screen the Open Files and Ports tabs wasn't there so I couldn't find where this application was on my hard drive. Additionally, running a search for the file doesn't seem to find it.

I've run Intego Virus Barrier and MacScan scans, but neither have found any problems. However, I would still like to know what this mysterious application is, just to be sure it isn't malware of some kind.

Anyone come across this or know a way of finding it?

All replies appreciated.
Dan
