Title: tKe's Bandwidth Monitor
Post by: wdforte on Mar 05, 2011, 12:37:10
A great tool tKe has provided, many thanks for that. However, I note that each day my 'Off Peak' Usage shows a reading, not much I would agree, around 90mb, over 3-4 days. As I never use my PC in 'off peak' hours how does this happen?

It is not a lot of bandwidth, just wondered why it occurs, any suggestions? :dunno:

NTP updates, programs calling home, using default windows settings = bandwidth use while asleep

Just internet noise I'd say.

Only way to stop it if your PC isn't on is power down your router or at least log off wiithin your router as then the edge router at IDNet will have nowhere to send the traffic as its the BT transport of your packets that is metered.
