Title: Sticky consolidation
Post by: Rik on May 12, 2007, 16:48:48
All the stickies for this board have now been consolidated into one thread, entitled "FAQs: Common issues, how to deal with them, how to get advice quickly".

Topics covered include:

  ADSL Max FAQ

  Sync speeds and resultant profiles

  Internal wiring self-help guide

  Speed tests

  Exchange status

Curing high pings or stale sessions

  Optimising your connection

  Automated pinging

  Further reading

  Thunderstorms

Before you post - what we need to know from you

  IDNet email addresses

  Contacting IDNet

Setting up a Netgear DG834G router, including wireless security.

If anyone has any suggestions for further topics, or can contribute articles on setting up other makes and models of routers, please PM me. Thanks.

Great job, I hate stickies as most people know, this consolidation (a ) looks tidier and is (b ) easier to find.

Nice one..  ;)

Thanks, Inactive. I'd always intended to consolidate the email sticky once the newness had worn off, but I figured I could roll everything up into an IDNetterpaedia while I was at it.

I'm still thinking about what, if anything I can do in General Computer Help - the four there are a bit disparate, and I split the NOD thread off from general software updates to meet RobMc's feelings about the NOD updates dominating everything else.

Have to say nice sticky, very informative. But I have noticed you have not put the support freephone number on the contact list.

That's because, officially, it's for sales not support. ;) Of course, if you call from a mobile, it's often better to have a geographic number anyway.
