Post by: Broadback on Feb 16, 2011, 14:16:05
I know I am a mumpty. I have had to rebuild my software from ground up. In most respects I am proceeding well. However my Newsreader (I am using Thunderbird" is asking me for my password for news server access.. I cannot even rememebr my newsreader's name. I know it is a free one, how do I find out which it is please?

I don't really understand the question at all. Are you looking for an NNTP server? If you have reformatted your PC, I would hope you have stored the email with your login credentials.

Check through your old emails for the Newreader details?

I restored Thunderbird emails and news reader from saved data. All worked well for a while, now the news reader keeps asking for a password, I cannot understand why, and cannot remember it. Anyway there must be somewhere in where I can see who my news provider is, but Where?
