If anyone has any ideas on this one. For over a week whenever I use any Office 2010 application and come to Save as... the dialog box hangs as well as the application. Inevitably I've lost work. In the end I uninstalled Office 2010 and reinstalled Office 2003, which has - I think - sorted it. I found Office 2010 annoying until I installed the 2003 menu application, but it had worked really well for some 2 months.

How long did you wait? I suspect the previously used directory in Office was on a network drive it is trying to re-establish, but it will usually give up after a few minutes.
