Nice find, Glenn, all the tweaks a boy could dream of. :thumb: :karma:
Thanks, some of it you can already do via msconfig
I know, but centralised tweaking is so much easier.
Anyone know if MS has released a Tweak UI applet for Win 7 yet.
Have it installed on my XP system.
I think the answer is no. However there is something called the Ultimate Windows Tweaker v2.1 which is compatible with v7.
I'll have to upgrade one of these days. :)
Don't rush. ;)
Have you given up?
No, though the laptop doesn't get a lot of use. It's just that, by the time I'd finished with it, I'd managed to make 7 look and feel like XP. ;D
Yes, and didn't we all try to make XP look and feel like 98SE? ;D
True, so really I'm using a souped up version of 98. ;D
:D

Mine still does. The first thing I did with XP (after turning Automatic Updates off) was set the "classic" interface.
Same here, and I've done it to 7 too.
Oh good. There's hope yet. I had wondered if W7 could be made to look like 98SE.
It can, Dill. :)
Luddites, all of us! ;D
And proud of it. ;D A lot of my motivation, in going Classic, is to remove colour from the desktop as much as possible. It can have a massive impact on colour judgement when doing photographic work. Blacks, greys and whites are my ideal. In the same way, I would only have white or grey walls, and I use 6500K lighting to preserve colour integrity.
Is it free?
I've not started messing with Win7 yet. I'll probably end up with windows 9 before I get too annoyed at this little box.
It is, though you can donate, Ben.
Is this as good as nlite was with XP/Vista?
How does adding 4 more applications make your OS "Lite" ?
Huh? AFAIK they are installed just to configure the system. Then you can remove them?
As I see it from looking at the website, it's not for tweaking a live windows installation it's for making a customised installation DVD and slip streaming drivers, updates etc into the install DVD, a bit like you could do with Nlite in Windows XP.
That was my take too, Ray.

Amazing how we have a similar approach. I customised my Windows XP colour scheme so the desktop is mid grey, the gradient in the window title bar is black to grey for foreground window and dark grey to light grey for background. All my menus are grey and my highlight colour is black! In my computer room, the walls and ceiling are white, the curtains and floor are grey. The table is white.
Where did you find 6500K lighting? Can you get those in dimmable bulbs? I am using dimmable halogens but 6500K would be great.

Thanks for shedding the light, Rik.
I think Gary knows another supplier.
