Title: HP QuickWeb - this is really annoying!
Post by: stevenrw on Dec 28, 2010, 17:11:14
Hi everybody. Hope your celebrations went well.
You might recall I bought HID a netbook for Xmas. I got an HP Mini and its ok so far, but there's a really annoying problem that's stopping me configuring the QuickWeb for email.
For some reason the "@" character is not working on the mail setup page in the quickweb application. It works fine normally in all other apps.
So no "@" = no email address = no QuickWeb email configuration = earache for me from HID.....
A workaround would be to get a keyboard shortcut for the @ character but I can't find one anywhere.
And the b****y thing should work anyway!
Ideas anybody?

Try shift+2.

That would be my guess too, it may default to a US keyboard.

Yep - that did it. I'm assuming I can change the keyboard config in Control panel.
Thanks guys - right on as usual...

You should be able to, Steven.
